Some bands come in for a gig, they sound good. They play the tunes. They finish the set and thats about it.  Nothing wrong with that.  I like some of those bands. I've met some and they're really nice people.
Then there are bands that put on a total and complete rockin' show.  The Arkells are one of those bands. They came into Studio211, and just rammed through a First Play Live of their new album Rally Cry.
The CBC Music crew rocked just as hard making this look and sound as amazing as possible.  I'll post the final performance once the team has it up on the YouTube.
Here are my shots of the band as they sound checked with a massive amount of energy. Everything was shot with the Sony A7iii and the 24-105 f4 G lens.

GDFF 2015 POSTERS
It's no big thing... its just a project that let me work with Harrison Ford, Halley Berry, Uma Thurman, Hugh Jackman... and some others. Actually... If I'm being totally honest, I really only worked with Matt and Amanda at Cineplex, but you don't know them.

Very cool. Very colourful. Reggae funk rock groove is I guess how I'd describe the sound, because I don't describe sounds very well. Whatever you call it... it was good. Shot at the Longboat Hall on Queen St. W. with the A7iii for CBC Music's First Play Live.

WTF
This was a series I was involved with in 2010. This is the intro I shot and cut as we spent a couple of days roaming Pearson Airport looking like we were going somewhere and then going nowhere downtown. It was all kinds of fun.
