THE OZEMPIC EFFECT: Beyond The Waistline
Paul Kemp and I travelled a lot of miles over the last year filming and producing our latest film looking at Ozempic, but more specifically GLP-1 drugs and the massive impact they are having and will have on society. It's got a ton of info and interesting stories packed into it.
We filmed in Toronto, L.A., New York, Austin, Pittsburgh, New Jersey, Hamilton and Copenhagen.
An awesome team put the film together; producer Calvin Hwang, editor Deanna Scriver, audio mix Kevin Swartz, online by Noodle Post, camera ops Sara Cornthwaite and Ryan Liew, production Julia Lee and my kid Morgan Leitch doing some P.A. work.
Technically... I filmed all interviews on a Sony FX6, A7sIII setup. A whole bunch of lenses depending on the situation, but did use an old manual Olympus 50mm f1.4 adapted to e-mount for the b-cam angle if that interest you.
As a majority of this was filmed while travelling around the world, I had to keep the gear manageable. I primarily used a Zhiyun lighting setup; Molus G300 and X100, which gets you 90% of the way if you go completely bare bones. I threw in an X60, and then a couple Aputure  MC's and an Amaran 25c
